Mistakes Are A Call For Expansion

Mistakes, mistakes, and more mistakes. What exactly is a mistake?

According to dictionary.com, a mistake is, an action or judgement that is misguided or wrong.

Have you ever made a mistake? Sure you have. I’ve made mistakes as well. We all make mistakes. No one is immune from mistakes. Mistakes can be like a bad meal that gives you indigestion or like having a meal that gives you food poisoning. This is not pleasant, I’m sure you agree.

I used to think that we are in control of our actions. Usually this is true in most cases. The times when we are not in control is because we are fueled by anger. Anger has a way of making you loose your way.

Ever made a mistake and wondered how you got where you are? Unfortunately, it is our natural instinct to try to justify our actions. When we make a mistake, our initial reaction is to blame someone else.

“Yes, I hit her, if she would have kept her mouth closed, I wouldn’t have slapped her.”

When mistakes are made, we are likely to justify our actions. We justify mistakes for the sake of our ego. Sometimes it is best to say, very simple — yes, I made a mistake.

The point being is the anger part. It is vital in the healing process to deal with anger. Anger keeps you stuck in a place of despair; a place of nothingness.

Stop for a moment and think, have you made mistakes fueled by anger? If so, where does your healing start? So many emotions come out of mistakes. Such as resentment and hurt, just to name a few. You should avoid feeling guilty about mistakes, but at the same time, you must make a resolution to learn from your mistakes. Mistakes are an opportunity to learn and gain wisdom.
